Ben Grifhorst will be starting his second year as the wrestling coach at Maltby Middle School and as a math teacher at Brighton High School. Before this, he was the assistant wrestling coach and a teacher at Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti, for three years. He started wrestling in first grade with the Grandville Wrestling Club where he participated in freestyle tournaments. He wrestled at Grandville High School for four years as well as wrestling internationally with Athletes in Action. Upon graduating, he pursued a degree in education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
